The Omron HBF-306 is very simple to use. Because it uses electrical resitance and calculated “wing span” to measure BF%, it’s possible (due to differences in arm length) that your reading may not be 100% accurate compared to a clinical “immersion” test. However, it is definitely consistent! I also have caliper type pinchers and found them too inconsistent (unless you can pinch the same exact spot each time).

With the Omron HBF-306, you can easily track changes in your body fat % as you progress through your fitness training. You’ll be able to easily tell if your losing fat and/or gaining muscle by monitoring your BF% along with your weight. Check your weight and body fat % first thing in the morning for the most consistent readings. I highly recommend it.

My instructor at the gym uses the pinch type calipers and my doctor used this one. Both were consistent and within 0.2% of each other. The Omron HPF 306 Body Fat Tracker is a lot easier and you don’t have to strip down and be poked and prodded. I love it!!!

Now I only go to my doctor to chart my progress…

I find the HPF-360 very easy to use, and the results are very close to the measurements from caliper test they provide at my gym (and charge for).

Of note, I was really impressed by the packaging and build quality. Batteries where included (nice) and the build quality exceeded my expectation on such an inexpensive device.

You can store up to 10 profiles in this, I think. It doesn’t take but a minute to enter your info in and then hold for a few seconds while it measures your body fat. I rely on using this to know if I am doing any good with my workout. You can’t trust scales if you are doing heavy workouts with lots of muscle working. Muscle weighs more than fat. People are discouraged to step on scales after weeks of intense workout only to find they gained weight. It is a good weight gain. At least with a body fat monitor, you can tell if you are really losing the fat and gaining the muscle.

    Great price for product.

I purchased the fat tracker because I lead support groups for patients who have had the gastric bypass. This is an excellent item which allows them to see their progress (besides what they see in the mirror). Not only does it give them their percent of body fat, but it also gives them their BMI.

The price made it very affordable for me to be able to purchase it and make it available to my patients.

It was/is worth every single penny.

Iam very happy with this body fat analyzer. It’s easy and fun to use. It’s very helpful for people trying to lose weight. It’s easy to get discouraged when the number on the scale isn’t budging but when you have this product, and you see that you’ve lost fat, it’s easier to keep up your healthy habits of diet and exercise.

I’ve used BF analyzers for years, even before I became a CPT. I like the scale combos but I prefer the handheld. This model in particular is really nice. It has many diverse features that would probably fit just about anyone who would be smart enough to get one (that’s not a sarcastic comment, few understand that the true measure of health and weight is in body composition, not weight or anything else). This thing is so quick and simple I don’t have to take a major break or excessive preparation to use it. You just hold it straight out in front of you a few seconds and you got your own personal body composition measurements. That is invaluable and for anyone who knows or cares anything about health, totally essential! I love this thing b/c it doesn’t take up much space, it’s compact, easy to store, durable, effecient, and (among other things) very accurate! I used some of these type back in college but this particular one is the best one I’ve used. It’s like a health index computer w/ handlebars. I use mine for everyone in my family and as a personal trainer I don’t train anyone w/o keeping thorough records of their body composition b/c it is simply the single best way to chart exact progress.
