Wrong !! The whole idea is to raise your metabolism !!Those
‘love handles” r tough to lose .Start walking and doing some sit ups.You will NOT lose mass you will gain same if you maintain your schedule !! If you don’t want to do the “nature” walk thing invest in a treadmill !! Also watch your diet.Eating the wrong foods defeats your whole purpose.

Cardio doesn’t make you lose muscle mass. It won’t really help you GAIN muscle mass though, so if you want to do cardio to get rid of some fat, just make sure you keep up with your weights as well. The nice thing about building muscle mass is that once you’ve got it, it actually helps you burn more fat off – because the muscle takes more energy to feed than non-muscle tissue.
Remember though, that you can’t really target fat loss, so you’ll have to work to lose overall body fat – it comes off in layers, like an onion skin. Ab exercises will help tone your ab muscles but they won’t necessarily get rid of the belly blubber – you’ll have to burn that off doing cardio.
