try the lower ab workouts but the only type of execise that GETS RID of fat is cardio-situps just tone muscle underneath fat

  3. Alfred N Says:

Do plenty of situps. Crunches help as well. Any excercise that localizes the stomach muscle area.

Why do you have a big belly at 16? It took me at least 40 years and I stopped playing sports to get that.

Maybe playing some sports like basketball and baseball will help.

    Well, hon.
EATING LESS and Exericise (esp. aerobic) will help.
Eating is alot more important than exercise because you can exercise like crazy and not lose a single pound if you don’t eat right.
Best way is try HERBALIFE. It tastes Great, 100% natural, easy, and very effective.
For exercise, try Turbojam. I have sooo much fun with it.
Study showed that with turbojam you can lose up to 1000 cal.

The lower belly is the TOUGHEST to lose. I have lost several pounds and several inches since January with diet and regular exercise. GNC has a supplement called CLA that is all natural and targets that hard to lose belly fat. You don’t have to exercise but I know from experience that WITH exercise you can lose easier. I do crunches and sit ups daily. I’ve lost 6 inches alone in my belly. It does take at least 30 days to start seeing the effects but keep taking it daily. I’ve been very pleased. But like anything else, talk to your parents before taking anything.

Read the recommendations below. Also, go to the book store and locate the book “Weight Training for Dummies”. In chapter 15 you will find excellent information on how to perform abdominal exercises correctly. Page 218 of the book dispels all the myths surrounding abdominal training.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you’re consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow:

    Hi

Alot of the answers here are great but you have to find out what works for you, you know something you can live with. I will now share that I have found works for me and I feel moderation is the key as far as eating. I have cut my portion sizes and do not go back for seconds. Walking is a great exercise as well as all over toning and using 3lb weights to firm things and remember lean muscles burns fat. Also when I quite drinking alot of soda pop I lost 10 lbs right off the bat. Also I have one cheat day a week to have a treat of my choice because total abstinence from goodies makes one binge.
I believe in you and know that you can do what you set your mind to and remember if you do slip do NOT beat yourself up because you are your own best friend or your own worst enemy so be kind to yourself :)
